The Arena || Middle earth Shadow of War || Gameplay/Walkthrough (part 7) ACT-1 Minas Ithil FIRST/ 1ST mission GONDOR Quests The Arena:- As this mission begins, Talion will make a desperate gamble to distract the Orc army by taking on all comers in the nearby Arena. What begins as a 1v1 battle will quicklt escalate with more and more Captains and other Orcs to try and overpower you, which can make this a dangerous mission. If you feel underleveled for this point, you can try to kill more Captains in both Minas Ithil and Cirith Ungol to get better weapons, and find collectibles and Haedir Towers to get more Skills.Shadow of War The Arena After the cutscene at the start, you’ll have to defeat an Olog champion that rushes at you.Attack the Olog and hit the prompts that appear when you have to avoid attacks. Be sure to inspect the Captain as he charges to get a note of its Strengths and Weaknesses - and see if there are any (like Soft-Headed) that you can capitalize on. Remember to slide under the Olog's frontal attack and use your stun when you see the blue indicator, and you might be able to hop on the Olog's back to keep attacking it. When the first Captain falls, go to the waypoint in the center and hit the prompt to taunt the crowd. A group of enemies will then appear with Captains that will attack you. You’ll have to take down all of the enemies around, which can be difficult if you let them swarm you. Again, check their strengths and weaknesses, and note that the arena has several Grog Barrels you can explode, as well as cages with Caragors to work against those weak to beasts.During this stage, you'll have to go up against two more Captains flanked by Grunts, and finally one last captain who may be your Nemesis from Shadow of Mordor if you transferred that data over. While your goal is only to kill the Captains and not the Grunts, remember you can use them as fodder to build up your Might until you can perform an Execution on the Captains. If the Captains start adapting and resisting certain moves, remember your options: Elf-shot is stashed around the arena, as are the grog barrels and caragor cages, so use them wisely. the skill to Freeze Pin can also stun Captains long enough to knock them off balance, especially if they start countering your vaults. You can also use your Glaive to deal large damage to a group around you and break through the Captain's ability to block incoming attacks. Finally, if things get tough, you can try racing to the other side of the arena and picking out stragglers to drain for more health.
