HORIZON ZERO DAWN THE CITY OF SUN MISSION 8 GAMEPLAY/WALKTHROUGH PART-8 [NO COMMENTERY] The City of the Sun is a Main Quest in Horizon Zero Dawn that finally brings Aloy to the Carja city of Meridian to find Olin. Recommended Level: 12 Rewards: 6000 XP, 1 Skill point First, Aloy is going to have to make the journey there. It’s a pretty long ways away, and takes you past other Settlements, a Hunting Ground, Vantage Points, Bandit Camps and more. Feel free to explore on your way over of course. In Meridian, you can by a never-ending fast travel pack for pretty cheap (highly recommended) and trade in your collectibles to different merchants. GO TO MERIDIAN The path from Daytower is a long one, but it’s pretty easy to get by. On your way, you’ll find a few Broadhead sites, even one right outside Daytower. If you’ve completed Cauldron SIGMA, you can override these beasts to use as mounts, speeding up your journey to the large Carja city. FOLLOW EREND AND INVESTIGATE OLIN’S APARTMENT Aloy clues Erend in on her suspicions of Olin, so Erend agrees to take her to the could-be-traitor’s apartment to look for clues. They chat on the way. Erend breaks the door to get inside. Use your Focus to scan the room for clues. The rug in the corner of the room is your first one. Aloy will move it, uncovering an elaborately locked hatch. You’ll have to find a way to open it. FIND OLIN AT THE EXCAVATION SITE The site north and slightly east of Meridian. There should be a campfire activated nearby, so use a fast travel pack (or the unlimited one, if you’ve purchased it from the merchant here in meridian) to speed up your travel time. Save at the campfire on the way, as there are a lot of enemies in the area where Olin is. KILL THE CORRUPTORS AND THE CULTISTS The ledge Aloy is already crouching on, behind the rocks, is the safest place for you here. Below are multiple cultists and two corruptors. Use precision arrows with your Sharpshot to take out the cultists on the perimeter, where their bodies won’t be found by others. Take note that the Corruptors will react to seeing a cultist getting taken down, so try to avoid this until after you've thinned out the enemies a bit. The Corruptor will approach to investigate from the right. Stay on the ledge, and lay down Shock Wires to impede its approach. When you’re done interrogating him, Aloy will have a choice on how to judge him.
